The New Living Translation text is excellent for young readers because it is so clear and they can understand what they are reading! When they can read and understand God’s Word, God can work in their hearts!
What I Loved: The first thing you notice is the cover and it looks amazing! It’s the perfect style for boys of all ages. The font size was just the right size for easy reading. The book headers and chapter numbers are easy to spot. The book comes with its own bookmark. This version also includes some handy tools such as colorful maps, dictionary and concordance in one, table of contents, and a 365-day reading plan.
What I Didn’t Love: Bible pages are normally thin and a bit on the see-through side but this bible was a little more so. The pages were extremely thin and often stuck together. I’m hoping the sticky page issue will wear off as we flip through the bible more and more.
Rating and Recommendation: Overall I liked the Slimline version and recommend it to anyone looking for an NLT version for a guy in their life. I’m giving it 5 stars.
