What I Loved: Land of Silence was rich with history. While the story itself is strictly fictional, the setting was very realistic. I appreciated how much effort Tessa put into creating this novel.
From the very beginning, Elianna is visited by trouble and trouble never seems to leave her door. While the Land of Silence was such a strong and beautifully written story, it was also a heavy story. But Christ is coming! It was this phrase that I often reminded myself. It didn’t matter how bad things were for Elianna, I KNEW Christ was coming and she would soon be healed in ways she’d never thought possible. It was refreshing to read a book where you could rely on Christ in a more physical way.
Christ IS coming again and this word of encouragement is good for our lives today, so it was a real treat to see the same mindset playing out in a fictional read.
Rating and Recommendation: I highly recommend Land of Silence to anyone who enjoys Christian Fiction or Biblical Fiction. I’m giving it 5 stars.
